Aradhana Mahotsavam of
 Adhistanam The 20th Aradhana of His Holiness Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji, the 68th Pontiff of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam was celebrated at Shrimatam, Kanchipuram. The Aradhana celebrations began on 27th December with Veda Parayanam and homas.
On the 29th December - Aradhana day, Ekadasa Rudra Japam and homams took place. Abhishekam was performed at the Adhistanam of Pujyasri Mahaswamiji, followed by Alanakaram.
At 9 am, Sangeetanjali took place in which musicians rendered Sri Thayagaraja Pancharatna Goshti Gaanam in the benign presence of HH Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji.  Their Holinesses at the Adhistanam - Deeparadhana being performed The poornahuti of the homams being performed took place in the benign presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji. The sanctified water was taken and abhishekam was offered at the Adhistanam in the presence of His Holiness, who performed Deeparadhana. Vasordhara, Poornahuti and Mahabhishekam at the Brindavanam was performed in the presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji and His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji.Samparadaya Bhajans were rendered on the occasion. His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji offered the sanctified Akshata to the devotees. A large number of devotees took part in the Aradhana programme and received blessings of Pujyasri Acharya Swamijis. In the evening, His Holiness led the devotees in the Mahaswami Swarna Ratham (Golden Chariot) procession around the Adhistanam of Pujyasri Mahaswamiji. The duo of Sri. U. Srinivas and Sri. U. Rajesh performed a Mandolin Duet concert. They were accompanied by Shri SD Shridhar on Violin, Shri Shrimushnam V Rajarao on Mrudangam, Shri Trichy K Murali on Ghatam, Shri Nergunam S Shankar on Ganjira and Shri Srirangam Kannan on Morsing. On the 27th, Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Asthana Vidwan Kalaimamani Kavingnar Subbu Arumugam & Party performed a Villupaattu -discourse on Karunaimigu Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. On the 28th, Kum. R Tejaswini gave a discourse on “Naanilam Potridum Nadamaadum Deivam ”, followed by a Veena Recital by the duo of Shri Karukurichi N Ravi & Shri N Balaji, accompanied by Palayamkottai Shri B Guru Raghavendra on Mrudangam. |
